Leak Repair and Repiping

Burst pipes, slab leaks, failing supply lines: found fast, repaired right, or repiped when patching stops making sense.

Water finds the worst possible path, through garages, ceilings and walls. Tanks Water Heaters and Plumbing finds and repairs leaks fast across Reno and Sparks, from burst pipes and failed supply lines to hidden leaks behind walls, under floors and beneath slabs.

When a home's piping is at the end of its life, we will tell you, and repipe it properly instead of selling you patch after patch.

What's included

  • Burst pipe & slab leaks
  • Whole-home repiping
  • Pressure tank service
  • Honest repair-vs-repipe advice

Burst pipes and active leaks

If water is running, shut off the main valve first. It is usually where the line enters the house, often in the garage or near the front hose bib. Then call (775) 997-8071 at any hour. We carry pipe, fittings and valves on the truck, so most burst pipe repairs are done on the first visit.

Finding hidden leaks

Not every leak shows itself. Call us if you notice any of these:

  • A water bill that jumped without a change in use
  • The sound of running water when everything is off
  • Warm spots on a slab floor, or damp drywall and baseboards
  • A water meter that keeps moving with every fixture off
  • Mold, musty smells or stains on ceilings

When repiping makes more sense than another repair

Some homes in older Reno and Sparks neighborhoods still have galvanized steel supply pipe. Galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside, which shows up as low water pressure, rusty water and leaks that keep popping up in new places. Once that starts, patching one spot just moves the next leak down the line.

Whole-home or partial repiping replaces the failing supply lines with new pipe, restores pressure and ends the cycle of repairs. We give you an honest repair or repipe recommendation, and a price, before any work starts.

Winter leaks

Freezing nights in the high desert split pipes in garages, exterior walls and crawl spaces, and outdoor faucets crack when hoses are left connected. We repair frozen and burst lines and point out the exposed runs that are most likely to freeze again.

Pressure tanks and supply lines

We also service pressure tanks and replace failing supply lines to fixtures, toilets, washing machines and water heaters, which are some of the most common sources of sudden leaks in a home.

Leak Repair & Repiping: common questions

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?

Turn off every fixture and check the water meter. If it is still moving, water is going somewhere. A jump in your water bill, the sound of running water, warm spots on a slab floor and damp drywall are other signs. We find the source before we open anything up.

Do you repair slab leaks?

Yes. We locate and repair leaks beneath slabs, and when the piping under the slab keeps failing, we will tell you whether repiping is the better fix.

Should I repair the leak or repipe the house?

One leak on otherwise healthy pipe is a repair. Repeated leaks, low pressure and rusty water on older galvanized pipe usually mean repiping is the better money. We show you what we find and give you both options.

Can you come out tonight for a burst pipe?

Yes. We are open 24 hours, every day. Shut off the main water valve and call (775) 997-8071.
