Licensed gas work
Gas Line Installation
Licensed gas piping for ranges, dryers, fire pits, BBQs and water heaters, installed safe, tested and to code.
Gas work is not a DIY job. It is a licensed trade, and it is one of ours. Tanks Water Heaters and Plumbing runs new gas lines and extends existing ones across Reno and Sparks for ranges, dryers, garage heaters, fire pits, BBQ islands and water heater conversions.
Every joint is pressure tested and every run is installed to code, so the work is safe, clean and documented.

Gas lines we install

- Water heater and tankless conversions that need a larger gas supply
- Commercial gas piping for kitchens and equipment
Sized for the appliance, tested before it is used
A gas line has to deliver enough gas for everything connected to it at once. Tankless water heaters in particular draw far more gas than a tank, which is why we size the line from the meter to the appliance instead of just tapping the nearest pipe. When the work is done we pressure test the system before anything is lit.

Gas Line Installation: common questions
Can you run a gas line for a tankless water heater?
Yes. Tankless units often need a larger gas line than the tank they replace. We size and run the line and install the heater as one job.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the house without using switches or phones inside and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Once the utility has made it safe, we can repair the line.
Do you install gas lines for fire pits and outdoor kitchens?
Yes. We run gas to fire pits, BBQ islands and outdoor kitchens, pressure test the line, and install it to code.
